From the Main Distribution Frame (MDF), the ADSL Panel Block connects to an ADSL line card. This shows Fujitsu IS-LCSS line cards. The line passes through the line card at the top and and out at the bottom back to the 'Plain Old Telephone Service' (POTS).

Local Loop Unbundling (LLU) Handover Distribution Frames - which represent the demarcation point of the BT network. LLU lines have their own designated panel blocks on the MDF, which are then connected to the Handover Distribution Frame.
